Objectives
FABP4 is implicated in pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, however the precise mechanisms have not been fully investigated. FABP4 enhances gut permeability and alters gut microbiota composition. Moreover, FABP4 shows the potential to promote the infiltration of immune cells. This study is aim to explore the role and underlying mechanism of FABP4 promotes atherosclerosis through mediating the crosstalk between gut microbiota and immunity, providing substantial evidences targeting FABP4 to treat diet-induced atherosclerosis.
