Objectives
Disproportional energy intake and expenditure contributes to the development of obesity. Enhancing thermogenesis through activating brown adipose tissue (BAT) and promoting conversion of white to brown adipocytes (browning/beiging) are recognised as an effective strategy to combat obesity. Cold stress is one of the physiological stimulators of white adipose tissue(WAT) browning and BAT activity. Here we aim to identify novel factor and elucidate its mechanism in modulating cold-induced thermogenesis.
