We are now in an era in which large-scale multi-robot systems are having increasing impact in realms of industry, security, service and household, etc.; and there is yet more potential applications to be explored and developed. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology and three-dimensional sensing technology, state-of-the-art robots are acquiring more and more powerful perception and understanding ability, which make possible autonomous and intelligent exploration and cognition of the environment for robots.
