Objectives
1 To examine whether exposure to electronic devices at age 5 is associated with children’s cognitive and psychosocial development at age 12; 2 To investigate the cumulative effect of exposure to electronic devices from the ages of 5 to 12 on children’s cognitive and psychosocial development; 3 To examine whether family socioeconomic status moderates the relationship between early exposure to electronic devices and developmental outcomes in adolescence; 4 To explore whether the use of electronic devices in early childhood predicts the pattern of electronic device use in adolescence.
