Objectives
Chronic low back pain (LBP) is the world’s most disabling condition. Modic changes (MC) on MRI are highly associated with the development and severity of chronic LBP. Non-invasive and economical treatment of chronic LBP patients with MC is needed. As such, this study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of orally administered 50 mg of Zoledronic acid (ZA) once a week for 6 weeks to placebo among patients with chronic LBP and Modic changes on MRI.
