Objectives
1) To study the offline and online problems of searching by mobile robots and to obtain solutions that are optimal or near-optimal in time and energy consumption (Problem 1). The robots will communicate by either meeting or via localized wireless communication, and all must terminate in the end; 2) To investigate the search and evacuation problem with respect to velocities, considering different maximal speeds (Problem 2) and different search and move speeds (Problem 3); 3) To consider the search problems with respect to the energy consumption (Problem 4) and cases where some of robots could be faulty or fail (Problem 5); 4) To implement the solutions (or a representative one) that can demonstrate the feasibility of the solutions and their superiority to brute-force or naive solutions to the problems (Problem X).
