Objectives
1. Unveil the origin of the one-dimensional topologically protected conducting edge state ir bilayer graphene and obtain a more complete understanding on quantum valley Hall insulator. 2. Experimentally verify the theoretical prediction on the electronic edge state in bilayer graphene. 3. Optimize graphene properties for applications in nanoelectronics and spin-based electronics based on the new insight obtained in this project.
