Objectives
1) Investigate the potential relationship between environmental information transparency, trust in government, and public perception of ecosystem services; compare the differences between developed and developing countries; 2) Explore the impact of environmental information transparency on societal preference heterogeneity, such as respondents’ decisions to be willing to pay, stay opt-out, give protest responses, and prefer certain attributes or specific levels of urban river restoration scenarios; 3) Build the linkages between environmental information, public perception of ecosystem services, trust in government, and public heterogeneous preferences and decisions about urban river restoration.
