1) [VNF Service Chain Deployment and Scaling in One Datacenter]: To model an optimization framework for scaling single and multiple service chains within one datacenter, and to design efficient online algorithms for cost minimization; 2) [VNF Service Chain Deployment and Scaling across Geo-distributed Datacenters]: To model an optimization framework for scaling multiple service chains across geo-distributed datacenters, and to design efficient online algorithms for cost minimization and delay guarantee; 3) [Pricing VNF Service Chains via Auctions]: To design online auction mechanisms for service chain pricing in the NFV marketplace; 4) [Implementation and Evaluation]: To implement a WAN-based NFV testbed and evaluate our algorithms and mechanisms in practical settings.
