Objectives
1 To investigate how mitohormesis is invoked by overexpression of human SIRT1 in adipose tissue and whether modulation of mitohormesis early in life compromises the metabolically healthy ageing phenotype of Adipo-SIRT1. 2 To elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying the decreased Complex-I activities and the dynamic mitochondrial remodeling in adipose tissues of Adipo-SIRT1 mice.
