Objectives
1 To interrogate the involvement of immune cells and type-2 cytokines in mediating cold-induced beiging and thermogenic activities of FGF21 in scWAT 2 To employ adipocyte-specific βklotho knockout mice to determine whether the autocrine actions of FGF21 in mature adipocytes is required for its beiging effects in scWAT 3 To investigate whether replenishment with recombinant IL33 and/or adiponectin can reverse the defects of cold-induced beiging and thermogenesis in FGF21-AKO mice 4 To further explore the roles of adipose-derived FGF21 in beiging and thermogenesis of scWAT induced by different pharmacological and physiological stimuli
