Objectives
1) Develop and defend an interpretation of the constructive alternative to conventional normative ethics presented in Zhuangzi passages bearing on interaction between agents; 2) Articulate the Zhuangist conception of the normatively good individual life and explain how it complements the Zhuangist approach to interaction with others; 3) Elucidate and critically evaluate the psychological views that support the Zhuangist normative stance; 4) Critically evaluate the overall plausibility and the strengths and weaknesses of Zhuangist ethics; 5) Situate the ethics of the Zhuangzi with respect to contemporary philosophical ethics.
