Biography

Bradley McPherson has worked as an audiologist for over thirty years, in public hospitals and in private practice, as well as in university settings. He has worked in the United Kingdom, Australia, West and Southern Africa, East Asia, the Pacific and in the Middle East. He is Professor in Audiology at the University of Hong Kong, where he helped initiate China’s first Masters program in Audiology.  Before coming to Hong Kong he was a Senior Lecturer in Audiology at the University of Queensland, Australia.  In both Hong Kong and Australia his research has focused on screening and rehabilitation for hearing loss, particularly in children. Brad obtained his PhD from the University of Queensland and his Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Manchester, and has published two textbooks and over 120 scientific articles. He has extensive experience working with children who have hearing loss, and an understanding of the challenges faced by parents with children who have hearing loss.
