Research Directions: -To develop a customizable accent reduction regime based on theories in linguistics, speech science, speech pathology, and advanced computer technology -To study the acoustic and aerodynamic characteristics in individuals with articulation inaccuracy as in dysarthrics and speaking with an accent -To apply speech instrumentation and computer technology in effective ESL learning -To better understand and develop more effective rehabilitation regimes for alaryngeal speech and voice/speech disorders
