AbstractmLang, an innovative app that capitalizes on web 3.0 technologies to enable flexible sharing and featuring of student-generated language-learning content will be introduced. mLang is a brainchild of a team of researchers and educators led by Dr. Elizabeth Loh at the Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong, with funding from SCOLAR (Standing Committee on Language Education and Research), Hong Kong SAR Government. The implications of mLang for enhancing cross-site, cross-language, cross-cultural collaboration in multilingual and multicultural language learning environments will be discussed. Its potential in enhancing multilingual and multicultural awareness as well as self-directed learning among language learners across multiple (national, cultural, geographical) sites will also be discussed.
