AbstractBACKGROUND: The kinetics of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) titers in patients with spontaneous HBsAg seroclearance of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is not known. Methods: We recruited 171 treatment-naive, hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg)-negative CHB patients (71% male) with HBsAg seroclearance. Serum samples at 3 years, 2 years, 1 year and 6 months before HBsAg seroclearance and at date of HBsAg loss were tested …
