AbstractThis paper presented the evaluation of the implementation of an affective education curriculum in five H secondary schools. The implementation adopted a systems approach to guidance, involving a professiona teachers and educational psychologist in curriculum planning, and class teachers in implementation. Finding that both teachers and students considered the guidance curriculum having positive effects on stud understanding, relationships and communication skills. Students specifically pointed to the experientia approach, a relaxing classroom atmosphere, and a warm teacher- student relationship as essential. Thes illustrate the pertinence of further enhancement of teachers’ implementation skills in developmental guidance.
