Dr Liu, Wei 劉偉
Dr. Wei Liu is currently a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from HKU. Subsequently, he joined his alma mater as a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, supervised by Prof. K.T. Chau and Prof. C.C. Chan. He also served as a Visiting Researcher with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU), since 2019. Prior to studying in HKU, he received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering from China University of Petroleum. Dr. Liu was the recipient of Power Engineering Prize from HKU, Excellent Paper Awards and Best Presentation Award from international conferences in the area of Electric Vehicles and Transportation Electrification. He is also a Guest Associate Editor of IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics (JESTPE), Guest Editor of international journals, and Session Chair of international conferences.

His research interests include wireless power transfer, power electronics and artificial intelligence, biomedical power electronics, machines and drives, and electric vehicle technologies.
