Dr. Zhang's main research interest is scientific computation. His research topics include uncertainty quantification (UQ) and numerical computation of partial differential equations arising from quantum chemistry, wave propagation, porous media, stochastic fluid dynamics and random heterogeneous media. He is also interested in the biomechanics, which develops biological models and numerically simulates of cell evolution under stress.
