Biography

Peter Chau, Assistant Professor, joined the Faculty in August 2011. Having graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a double degree in government and laws in 2006, he went to Oxford for postgraduate studies where he obtained an MPhil in Political Theory. He is currently working on a DPhil on the relationship between social deprivation and criminal sentencing under the supervision of John Gardner and Daniel McDermott.

He is spending most of his time on criminal law and sentencing, but he is interested in theoretical issues arising in many other branches of law (including property law and tort law) as well.
