Dr Chan, Pak Hei Michael 陳栢羲
Dr. Chan is the Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He is a Specialist in Cardiology in the Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong. He received his post-graduate training in internal medicine and cardiology in Queen Mary Hospital. Subsequently he worked in the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, United Kingdom as a visiting fellow in coronary and structural heart disease intervention. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2017. He is currently the Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, as well as the Fellow of American College of Cardiology.
His expertise is in percutaneous coronary intervention and coronary imaging techniques. His current research interests include coronary intervention focusing on bioresorbable vascular scaffold (BVS), intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), optical coherence tomography (OCT) and bifurcation lesion intervention. He also published extensively on various aspects related to atrial fibrillation, including anticoagulation therapy and screening for atrial fibrillation.
