Biography

Dr. Sammy Fung joined the University of Hong Kong in June, 2008. As an assistant dean and BBA admission tutor, Sammy is responsible for the design and implementation of academic policies; development of exchange partnerships with overseas universities; exploration of student internship and programmes with commercial firms and non-profit organizations; continuous improvement of the undergraduate curriculum; management of local Hong Kong and overseas admission matters; and design of strategic plan for the UG Program.

As a lecturer, Sammy’s research interests are corporate governance, social responsibility and business ethics issues of the corporations, NGOs and social enterprises in Asia. His teaching interest includes managerial accounting, auditing and corporate governance and CSR.

Sammy holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Accountancy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
