Abstract | Link dynamic range is an important factor for MRI signal transmission by optical fiber links. Dynamic range of a direct modulation optical fiber link is
analyzed theoretically and tested on both 0.3T and 1.5T MRI. It is found that the optical link has wide enough dynamic range to transmit MRI signal at 0.3T.
However, much wider dynamic range is required at 1.5T. This requirement can be compensated by the use of low noise preamp and attenuators to avoid
suppression and distortion. |
