AbstractWe propose a new modulation format for 100 Gb/s Ethernet applications. A ±49 ps/nm chromatic dispersion tolerance is achieved with a phase shifted multilevel amplitude-shift keying signal for 40 km single mode fiber transmission. © 2008 Optical Society of America.
