Abstract | The temporahs muscle flap is a reliable and robust flap for
transposihon as a pedicled flap that is most conveniently located to close a maxillary defect without resorting to more
complex procedures.
The anatomical and vascular basis of whole flap use and
the coronally or saggittally divided flap are described and
illustrated. The flap's versalality in clnucal use is highlighted
an a variety of chnical cases and its potential and hmitations
an functional rehabilitation are presented. The management of
the donor site is described and long term outcomes presented. |
