AbstractThe blind algorithm based on Parzen windows method probability density function (PDF) has a better performance then constant modulus algorithm (CMA). Similarly to CMA, this algorithm has a stochastic phase rotation phenomena. Through the phase information of the maximum a posteriori (MAP) criterion, a concurrent soft decision-directed blind equalization algorithm based on Parzen window method PDF (PPDF (Posterior Probability Density Function) + SDD (Soft Decision Decoding)) was studied. Simulation for high-order quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) shows that the proposed algorithm improves the equalizer performance by offering faster convergence and smaller misadjustment. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm overcomes the stochastic phase rotation phenomena.
