AbstractThe optical low pass filter (OLPF) made of artificial crystals was demonstrated. The design of relative parameters and the influence of processing were discussed from the view of 1-D, 2-D, 3-D crystal's filter and gratings filters. When processing, the period of gratings changes, which causes the fluctuation of sampling frequency of sinusoidal gratings. The unideal processing causes the imperfect shape of gratings, which results in background light. In crystal OLPF, antireflection films and IR-CUT films were used to improve imaging quality.
