Abstract | Urban design includes many aspects, such as layout, landscape, and visual design.Unfortunately, most urban designs of CBD, shop-ping and tourist areas often neglect the detail designof pedestrian signage system (road signs, directories),and all-weather pedestrian walkway system (coveredwalkways), making visitors to these areas to feel in-convenient and uncomfortable. This affects people’sview of the urban design, no matter how good it is,and also against the principle of people orienteddesign. This paper examines how to make the pedes-trian signage and walkway systems of shopping andbusiness districts to be people-oriented and userfriendly in order to improve the image of the city andto make it more competitive in place making. 以CBD、購物區和旅游區的行人道路指示系統和全天候行人交通系統這兩個重要細節問題為例,探討如何進行以人為本的城市設計,從而建立一個充滿人文關懷的城市形象,提高城市的吸引力和競爭力。 |
