AbstractWe study electronic transmission and energy spectra in a new kind of Fibonacci quantum waveguide structure proposed by us. The importance of commensurability of the length parameters in determining electronic behaviors is pointed out for the first time. Self-similarity and six-cycle in the transmission spectra are clearly seen. It is suggested that the quasi-periodic property of electronic transport related to the Landauer-Büttiker conductance is experimentally observable in this kind of structure.
