Abstract | We have studied the zero bias anomaly in conductance of a normal metal-d-wave superconductor junction in the presence of a Kondo-like magnetic impurity. In contrast to the conventional wisdom, the Kondo-like magnetic scattering effect is quite similar to the effect of nonmagnetic scattering. This result shows that the zero bias anomaly due to the d-wave pairing symmetry can survive even though the spin-flip process during the tunneling of quasiparticles is involved. |
