Abstract | We develop standard and mixed finite-element schemes for steady convective heat transfer with system rotation, temperature-dependent density and viscosity. Existence and convergence are proven for the two schemes. They are shown to be globally convergent and capable of capturing both nonsingular and singular solutions. The convergence rate is found to be optimal in H1-norm and L2-norm for nonsingular solutions. Copyright © Taylor & Francis Inc. |
