Abstract | A model for the integration of literacy and health education in development projects is proposed. Based on a hypothetical situation in an African country, Ghana, we show how various agencies can achieve sustainable development through the idea of an integrated development. We claim that the co-existence of literacy and health education in many projects is both possible and necessary if some of the recurrent implementational problems inherent in either case can be successfully addressed. |
