AbstractThe design and implementation of a course that aims to provide a linkage between a range of subjects, offered by a typical industrial engineering curricula, is described. The overall approach revolves around the different time frames and environments, associated with the various levels of decision making, required in typical manufacturing organizations. The designs of the products and processes are taken as the base, to determine the type manufacturing facilities required.
