AbstractA new method of screening a 16S rDNA clone library from an environmental sample is demonstrated using the non-specific fluorescent dye SYBR Green for the melting curve analysis of PCR-amplified DNA fragments. It is simple, easy and swift to operate. In addition, it requires little manual operation and the product may be still used for further analysis.
