AbstractA series of alkynylgold(I) bis(diphenylphosphino)alkyl- and aryl-amine complexes, [{Ph2PN(R)PPh2}Au2(C{triple bond, long}CR′)2] [R = nPr, R′ = Ph (1), C6H4OMe-p (2), C6H4Me-p (3), C6H4Cl-p (4); R = C6H4OMe-p, R′ = Ph (5)], has been synthesized. The X-ray crystal structures of 1 and 2 revealed the presence of short intramolecular Au⋯Au contacts with the distances of 2.8404(8) and 3.0708(7) Å. The luminescence behavior of the complexes were studied. © 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
