Abstract | A series of soluble trinuclear copper(I) complexes containing bicapped η 3-η 1 acetylides, [Cu 3(μ-PNP) 3(μ 3-η 1-C≡CR′) 2] + [PNP = [(C 6H 5) 2P] 2NR, R = nPr, C 6H 5, C 6H 4-CH 3-P, C 6H 4-F-p] have been synthesized and shown to exhibit rich photoluminescent behavior at room temperature. The electrochemistry and excited-state redox properties of [Cu 3(μ- nPrPNP) 3-(μ 3-η 1-C≡CPh) 2] + have been investigated. |
