Abstract | Ordered amino-functionalized mesoporous organic-inorganic hybrid silica thin films were prepared by evaporation induced self-assembly in acidic conditions. DNA molecules were covalently bound to these mesoporous substrates and characterized by transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and laser scanning confocal fluorescence microscopy. © 2006 Acta Materialia Inc.
