Abstract | In the construction industry, Value Engineering is applied to help identify the options that yield the best value for money and which make full use of the scare resources. The purposes of the reported research were to review the benefits obtained from Value Engineering, investigate the obstacles encountered during its application, identify its critical success factors, and formulate strategies for maximizing such benefits. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches were used in this study. The recommendations can help more construction practitioners to understand, accept and apply Value Engineering principles in their infrastructure projects. |
