AbstractThere is a global trend for people to retain more teeth later in life. For this reason, it is common to see patients seeking treatment to replace the loss of a considerable number of teeth. Removable partial dentures are frequently prescribed for these patients. This paper summarizes the effects of tooth loss on quality of life and provides a clinical guide to the management of patients with advanced tooth loss with removable partial dentures.
