AbstractAn artifacts-free Patterson function was obtained from the sum of transforms of low energy electron diffraction intensity-energy spectra at multiple incident angle and momenta transfers. Normal incidence measured spectra and calculated spectra at three angles of incidence were used to demonstrate this phenomena. The Patterson function was found to be highly accurate in determining the pairwise atomic distances in the horizontal direction.
