Abstract | Yang's theory was generalized to the non-Abelian U(1) × SU(2) spin electromagnetic field. Using a simple one-dimensional (1D) continuum model for a quasi-1D mesoscopic ring, the nonintegrable phase induced by this field was analyzed. Further, the effect of this field on the splitting of the main peak in the ensemble average spectrum of the conductance was evaluated. It was found that the splitting as well as the side structure of the main peak stems from the nonadiabatic noncyclic geometric phase. |
