AbstractThis paper explores the aspects that affect the inter-area mode damping of a power system, with the focus put on the integrated wind generation that installs frequency-responsive control. Some important findings are concluded from a home of simulations using a modified two-area test system. Following by setting different possible wind penetration levels and the WT placements, qualitative behaviors of the impact would be examined in a systematic way.
