| Abstract | After Xi Jinping took office in November 2012, he promoted the concept “the China Dream.” What is the China Dream? What does the Chinese government want to pursue under this concept? This lecture attempts to give an overall of China. We will especially discuss the change and continuity of the governing style of contemporary Chinese leaders, the changing state-society relations, and some most recent dynamics, such as the large scale anticorruption campaigns and the CCP’s public image building strategies. |
