AbstractWe report a case of scurvy in a 27-year-old man living with his wife and children. The predisposing factor was chronic alcoholism with poor diet intake. This case illustrates that scurvy can still occur in an urban city like Hong Kong. A good history and a high index of suspicion are necessary to make a prompt diagnosis in order not to delay treatment.
