AbstractA comprehensive finite element investigation into the structural performance of composite slabs under standard fire tests is performed in order to establish effective tools to assess the fire resistances of the composite slabs. Based on the results of the thermal analyses presented in an accompanied paper, the structural performance analyses of both single and double span composite slabs are presented here. Key features of the finite element models are described while the values of a number of physical parameters are discussed. Moreover, partial debonding between the profiled steel deckings and the concrete is also allowed for, and its effect on the structural behaviour of the composite slabs is also examined.
