Abstract | BACKGROUND: One of the mechanisms involved in the control of development is through epigenetic regulation of histone proteins. Of these, lysine methylation on histone proteins is considered an important epigenetic modification in transcriptional regulation during hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis.
