AbstractA new nonlinear inversion algorithm known as the local shape function (LSF) method was derived to image very strong scatterers such as metallic objects. We present a new LSF inverse scattering algorithm here for time-domain inverse scattering. The method is derived by using a T-matrix formulation and interpreting the results in the time domain.
