AbstractWe use the Lanczos method to build discrete orthogonal polynomials that approximate the solution to the scalar Helmholtz wave equation. Previously, Lanczos methods were used to calculate the solution to one-dimensional and multi-dimensional parabolic and hyperbolic problems.
