Abstract | We obtain a universal radiation formula for a relativistic charged particle moving in curved magnetic field lines with arbitrary pitch angle. It reduces either to the formula for synchrotron radiation or to that for curvature radiation in appropriate limits. It presents a new radiation mechanism and describes more realistically the radiation in magnetic systems, especially in pulsars. |
