AbstractThe application of Da Vinci Surgical System in Urology practice has opened up an exciting development for minimal invasive approach to manage urology disease. Complex and reconstructive pediatric urological procedures could be benefited from the unique supporting platform of the current robotic system which provides delicate manipulation under 3D vision and seven degree of freedom of the robotic arms. Currently, robotic pyeloplasty is still the most commonly performed procedure. Pelvic procedures like ureteric reimplantation for VU reflux, excision of mullerain remnants, Mitrofanoff and augmentation procedures has also been well described. However, the concern of the costs limited the extensive utilization of the system in more simple procedures like nephrectomy, orchidopexy etc. which could be performed simply by laparoscopic approach. In the presentation, we could also like to share our preliminary experience in some of these procedures we have performed.
